Comare, Yerai Cortés

Barcelona, August 27th, 2026

For our AW26 show, we asked our friend Yerai Cortés to compose a song that could take us back to the nostalgia of Toma que toma, la Macarena, and the rumbas we grew up listening to on summer nights in Spain.
Two days later, he sent us the demo for COMARE. It made us instantly happy and somehow captured exactly the very specific feeling we had been looking for.
Yerai now closes his concerts with the song, and it seems to turn them into a party every time. Which is exactly what we wanted: to celebrate, especially in times when celebration can feel like going against the current.
Now Carlota, Virginia and Rafa have made this video around a choreography that could be described as an experimental Macarena: a live happening with nine dancers and four palmeras, performed under Yerai’s voyeuristic gaze on a hot August afternoon in Barcelona’s iconic Plaça Catalunya.
